The first version of SONY PSP (Playstation Portable) unveiled by gaming giant SONY is a black hand-held beauty released in December 2004. Prior to its birth, the PSP has been known to be misleadingly labeled “Walkman of the 21st Century”. The prototype bears no analog stick but that was quickly rectified after negative feedback was received from both external and internal sources. Upon launching in Japan, the PSP enjoyed brisk sales and managed to sell 200,000 units on the first day alone. This yummy gadget reads a Universal Media Disc (UMD) as its primary gaming storage device and runs on a 333Mhz CPU with 132MB RAM. Besides playing a multitude of games such as the highly popular Lumines, Metal Gear Acid and Portable Ops as well as Monster Hunter on the PSP, I was overjoyed to find that I can also play my favorite multimedia files.
