Nintendo Wii Pro Evolution Soccer 2008, or fondly known as PES 2008, is a great but underrated game. Don’t be quick to scoff at this game even if you are a long time player of the series. Playing PES 2008 on the Wii guarantees you a different kind of experience altogether. Using the ever versatile Wiimote, you merely need to point at the screen and wave it the way you want your moves to be. Whether it’s a pass or a goal, everything is done via the Wiimote. Players on the field can be moved using the Nunchuk’s analogue stick. Don’t be perturbed just because you’re holding on to two different peripherals. Soon you will realize that these movements are second nature to you, and you’ll see how enjoyable and less tiring PES 2008 is compared to real life soccer!

Alone With Your Nunchuk
When one lists down the greatest horror games of all time, chances are the list will include the very cheesy but replayable House of the Dead as well as other gems like Silent Hill, Siren (a Japanese survival horror game) and perhaps the zombie-fest that is Resident Evil. But mention Alone in the Dark and you might get blank stares for most did not know if Alone in the Dark should be solely classified under the Horror game category. Alone in the Dark is all that and more, and is most renowned for its innovative game play although it did not enjoy a loyal following like Silent Hill’s.

Same New, Same New Brawl

If you think that improved games brought forward from previous-gen consoles will be nothing but rehashed, lame efforts, think again. You need to run out immediately and get your own copy of the Nintendo Wii’s Super Smash Bros. Brawl, one of the best cross over video fighting games of all time. Released in January 2008, this game is special because it ring outs take precedence over knockouts. And Super Smash Bros Brawl is not just a punch and kick sort of game. Far from it, this game boasts of a nice single player mode called The Subspace Emissary, where players will enjoy an engrossing plot while immersed in a side scrolling beat ‘em up mission.
