Don’t be quick to scoff at this game even if you are a long time player of the series. Playing PES 2008 on the Wii guarantees you a different kind of experience altogether. Using the ever versatile Wiimote, you merely need to point at the screen and wave it the way you want your moves to be. Whether it’s a pass or a goal, everything is done via the Wiimote. Players on the field can be moved using the Nunchuk’s analogue stick. Don’t be perturbed just because you’re holding on to two different peripherals. Soon you will realize that these movements are second nature to you, and you’ll see how enjoyable and less tiring PES 2008 is compared to real life soccer!

Don’t like kicking the ball alone? No fear, PES 2008 online play is here. Once you copleteded the PES 2008 registration online, locating online players is a cinch with the Wii’s Internet service. Unlike other online games, players can play with minimal lag and. The great interface makes it easy for anyone to navigate around, whether they are a newbie or not.

Alone With Your Nunchuk

When one lists down the greatest horror games of all time, chances are the list will include the very cheesy but replayable House of the Dead as well as other gems like Silent Hill, Siren (a Japanese survival horror game) and perhaps the zombie-fest that is Resident Evil. But mention Alone in the Dark and you might get blank stares for most did not know if Alone in the Dark should be solely classified under the Horror game category. Alone in the Dark is all that and more, and is most renowned for its innovative game play although it did not enjoy a loyal following like Silent Hill’s.

Come mid 2008, Alone in the Dark will make its appearance in the Nintendo Wii platform. What makes this piece of news interesting is that fans cannot wait to see the possibilities that come with the combination of horror games and Wii’s versatile Nunchuk. Like the previous games in the series, this game will follow the adventures of Edward Carnby as he attempts to survive the night. This time the Wii version will see him wandering around New York’s Central Park while avoiding sinister and supernatural forces. I find it fascinating Central Park commands its own sense of mystery even in real life, where unnamed creatures and mutated trees can be found deep within tunnels possibly hidden beneath the park.

Atari has announced that an European Limited Edition of Alone in the Dark would be released for the Nintendo Wii, along with other next-gen consoles. I’m crossing my fingers and hoping that I’ll get my hands on the exclusive Edward Carnby collectible figure and official CD soundtrack! I look forward to steeri the in-game Edward over treacherously dark nooks and crannies using my Nunchuk!

Stay tune and watch out for the Alone in the Dark Walkthrough.

If you think that improved games brought forward from previous-gen consoles will be nothing but rehashed, lame efforts, think again. You need to run out immediately and get your own copy of the Nintendo Wii’s Super Smash Bros. Brawl, one of the best cross over video fighting games of all time. Released in January 2008, this game is special because it ring outs take precedence over knockouts. And Super Smash Bros Brawl is not just a punch and kick sort of game. Far from it, this game boasts of a nice single player mode called The Subspace Emissary, where players will enjoy an engrossing plot while immersed in a side scrolling beat ‘em up mission.

Four control styles can be utilized using the Wiimote, the combination of the Wiimote and Nunchuk, the Classic Controller as well as the old but trusty Gamecube controller. With a wave of the control stick or a tap of the D-pad, a variety of attacks is performed against your rivals. Each character comes with four distinct, trademark moves called Super Attacks, which are not unlike Cloud Strife’s Limit Break in the Final Fantasy VII series. Among famous characters to make an appearance in Super Smash Bros Brawl are Link from the Zelda series, Donkey Kong, Sonic the Hedgehog and the ever sullen but memorable Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid.

Super Smash Bros Brawl Tips & Tricks

To unlock Donkey Kong in the virtual console trials, you need to stay put and log on a total of 10 hours play time. Beat the Subspace Emissary using Captain Falcon and you’ll unlock F-Zero. Use Link (toon version) more than 10 times and you’ll get the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Similarly you can acquire Super Mario World once you play melee matches at Yoshi’s Island over three times.
